Old Man Winter Super Bowl Sunday Trail Race #3
LOCKPORT, NY: Spring Lake Winery - Please join us on Super Bowl Sunday February 7, 2021 for the Old Man Winter Trail Race #3 at Spring Lake Winery. This is the third race of the series being brought to you by iRun WNY that will take place entirely on Spring Lake Winery property in Lockport, New York. The 2-loop 5K course (VIEW MAP) will take runners on a beautiful and scenic winter trail run around Spring Lake, through the woods, and down the vineyard rows.
WEATHER ALERT!
Keep your eye on the weather leading up to race day. Race organizers will drive our UTV and/or snowmobiles on the snow covered trails on race morning. Depending on the weather that day, running trails could be drifted and/or snow covered, clear, muddy, frozen, soft, or all of the above. Prepare for the weather and dress appropriately. We have decided to limit the total number of race participants to 50 maximum runners per wave and will offer up to three waves (SEE BELOW) on Sunday. Each participant will start & run individually to allow for proper social distancing on the course and to comply with state guidelines.

REGISTRATION & PACKET PICKUPOnline registration will remain open right up until race day February 7, 2021 or until we reach our maximum number of participants for each wave. Custom Old Man Winter Race bibs with timing chip and a Special Edition LONG SLEEVE cotton shirt* will be distributed prior to the race at our drive-thru packet pickup window.Please be prepared to wear a mask before and after the race and/or maintain at least 6' of social distance between yourself and other persons. Any person(s) who refuse to follow proper social distancing guidelines will be asked to leave and may be denied entry to future events.

POST RACE CELEBRATIONJoin us after the race for what is sure to become one of the most unique post race celebrations in Western New York! Race participants will enjoy spectacular winter landscapes, Spring Lake scenic overlook while running, finish line music, light food/snacks, and of course the winery is open for business after your run!Remember that you must wear a mask when you are walking around the winery property and/or maintain proper social distancing (6' minimum) at all times. Any person(s) who do not comply with these guidelines may be asked to leave the premises and may be banned from attending RMS events in the future. Please don't attend if you can't follow the rules!PARKING
There will be plenty of free parking available at Spring Lake Winery.
AGE GROUPS & AWARDS
We will be combining the results of all waves held throughout the day. Hand crafted trophies will be presented to the 1st place overall male and female finishers. There will be no formal awards ceremony during Covid, however all participants can download custom finisher certificates from the event page and view/share finish line photos following the race!
14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69. 70-74, 75-79, 80 and older.

CANCELLATION POLICY
In the event of foul weather, public safety concerns, or for any other reason deemed necessary by race organizers (ex: state of emergency, shelter-in-place, limit on social gatherings, etc), we want runners to know up front that we reserve the right to reschedule the event date if needed OR convert this to a virtual 5K race. If we convert it to a virtual race, runners will have the option to run on their own during a designated window of time and submit their finish time as instructed. At their convenience, participants can stop by MarJim Manor prior to March 1st and pickup their official race bib and complimentary gift. Additional information will be presented should we be forced to hold a virtual race. There will be no refunds.
TIMING & FINISH LINE SERVICES
Individual chip start/chip finish timing services using industry leading Jaguar Electronic RFID timing will be provided by Race Management Solutions. Results are updated throughout the race in real time and can be accessed at any time after crossing the finish line using any one of the following options:
